Tuesday 25th February
Tanzania
Miss Blackbird and five of our Sixth Form students travelled to Tanzania last week as part of the Challenges Abroad program. This is a fantastic opportunity and isn’t just a once-in-a-lifetime travel adventure – it’s a transformative experience that will help them grow personally and build essential employability skills!
Students will be spending the next two weeks there, working at a primary and secondary school where they will teach English, Maths, and Science in rural village schools, planning their own activities while also learning about the local culture.
Our students have confidently taught their first lessons in Biology, and they did an incredible job. Miss Blackbird was so proud of their efforts that she was almost moved to tears. Tomorrow, the students will be teaching lessons in Physics and Chemistry, showcasing their diverse knowledge and skills.
