Days 3 & 4

Day 3 and 4

On Monday, we had a full day of travelling. We got the train at 5.30am for a 6-hour journey to Palampur. After the long ride, we fuelled up with a hearty lunch, dove into some fun board games, and then embarked on a scenic drive to a renowned temple.

We then had a 2 hour drive up to Palampur where the breathtaking views of the Himalayas left everyone speechless! Upon arrival, the students settled in, exploring their new surroundings and soaking in the excitement of what’s to come.

Today, we visited Palampur Public School where the students will be working for the next 2 weeks. They met the local students, explored the campus, and familiarised themselves with the school environment. After a delicious lunch, we jumped into a Hindi workshop, where the students learned key phrases and expressions to help them navigate the next few weeks before going off into the centre of Palampur itself. The students then spent the evening planning for their lessons tomorrow and have been really productive with their ideas. The teaching begins first thing tomorrow – it’s going to be an incredible experience! – Mr Sarsfield
